Get Involved…

Our congregation has an “Outreach Board.” This board is dedicated to getting events communicated throughout the church and into the community. We build relationships with individuals, organizations and businesses alike.

We support our annual UCC conference appeals: One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, Neighbors In Need, The Christmas Fund and Our Churches Wider Mission. For more information on these ministries check out www.ucc.org.  We also participate in Inter Faith Action of Greater Saint Paul, School Tools, Merrick Community Services, National Night Out, and Listening House.

Our church building and grounds are quite large. For those who like to putter around there is always a “to do” list if you feel the need to clean windows, dust, paint, weed a flower bed or prune shrubs to name a few.

We welcome you to join us and share our passion to help others and to be in service together.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Custodial

Our building is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a sacred space where community gathers, ministries flourish, and memories are made. Keeping it clean is a shared act of care and stewardship. Whether it’s taking out the trash, wiping down pews, or washing windows to let the light shine in, every task helps create a welcoming environment for all who enter. If you have a little time and a willing spirit, we’d love your help in keeping Hazel Park UCC looking its best. Many hands make light work—and joyful hearts make it meaningful.

  • Call to care team

The Call to Care Team is a compassionate ministry designed to keep our homebound and senior living members deeply connected to the life and love of the church. Whether due to age, illness, or mobility challenges, these cherished individuals are never forgotten. Through regular visits, our dedicated volunteers offer more than just conversation—they bring joy, companionship, and a tangible reminder that they are valued and loved. These moments are filled with laughter, prayer, shared stories, and the comforting presence of Christ’s community. It’s not just outreach—it’s relationship, rooted in grace and care.

  • Church Leadership

Church Leadership takes many forms, each vital to the life and mission of Hazel Park UCC. Whether serving as a Trustee, a member of Church Council, or in another leadership role, these individuals help steward our resources, guide our vision, and nurture our community. Leadership here isn’t just about meetings and decisions—it’s about listening deeply, caring boldly, and helping the church live out its calling with integrity and grace. From maintaining our sacred spaces to shaping our ministries, church leaders are the hands and hearts behind the scenes, ensuring that Hazel Park continues to be a place of welcome, purpose, and spiritual growth.
