Kavyesh Kaviraj will be sharing his talents with us during worship. Having collaborated with some of Minnesota’s most esteemed musicians, Kavyesh has solidified himself as one of the most sought-after composers, arrangers and pianists in the Twin Cities. Taking influences from his birthplace of Oman, his rich Indian heritage, and the place he now calls home, the St. Paul virtuoso utilizes his astounding ability to craft compelling musical narrative, imbuing his life’s essence into each of his acclaimed compositions. For the past seven years, Kavyesh has channelled his most transformative experiences and lessons from his heart to the piano, through the language of Jazz. We have the honor of having Kavyesh’s presence with us in worship!
Adult Education
Come hear about Outdoor Ministries in the MN Conference UCC. Rev. Sheri Nelson, Director of Outdoor Ministries will be leading our conversation. We will gather in the Fireside Room at 11:00 a.m.
Christmas Decorating
Who likes to decorate for Christmas! The first round of decorating will happen during the Hanging of the Greens Service on Sunday, December 1. The second round will take place on Saturday, December 7 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. All ages are encouraged to participate! Mark your calendars!
LIFT Event
Join in our LIFT event and a Potluck meal. Our service project will be making fleece blankets again for Face to Face. Face to Face is empowering young people experiencing homelessness by providing them with the critical support services they need. If you would like to donate fleece material, we are looking for fleece measuring 5’x6’ in length. Any questions, anyone from the Faith Formation team (Eric, Amy, and Jamie) will be able to assist.
All Saints Day Service
Remember our Saints. Our annual All Saints Service will be Sunday, November 3 beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will light a candle to remember our members and friends of our congregation who have passed away during this year. We will also have an opportunity to remember our personal losses during this service.
Adult Education
Join in a conversation with Rev. William Clyma as he shares an introduction to hymnals. In addition to an engaging conversation, we will be able to peruse over 75 hymnals as a part of Bill’s personal collection.
Covenant Days
Covenant Days are an opportunity for sibling churches and Conference staff to join together for fellowship, worship, and support. All Covenant Days will run from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
This year our conversation will focus on our Conference transition and preparing for our next Conference Minister. In the morning, we will spend time celebrating our history with stories of where our churches come from and our own memories of the Minnesota Conference. In the afternoon we will focus on our hopes for the future as we together envision what comes next!
This is your opportunity to share your vision about where we will go in the coming years. Members of the Search Committee, Conference staff, and Board of Directors will also be present to be in conversation and to hear your hopes and memories.
